Center for Global Engagement

Welcome!

The Center for Global Engagement at Northwestern University supports a community of young global change agents capable of crossing borders to produce responsible, sustainable solutions to shared problems.  Our programs range from short term curricular trainings like the annual Global Engagement Summit (formerly IYVS) to full-credit global engagement programs like the new ENGAGE Uganda summer study abroad to project incubation and support programs like the IYVS2007-GlobalGiving Project Challenge.

One this site, you’ll find the collected stories, ideas, concerns, criticisms, excitements, challenges, opportunities, and passions of members of our community. While each person posting on this site has entered our community in a different way, each has had the chance to work with, learn from, our build the capacity of the CGE in some way. What this means, more than anything else, is that these are the words of young people who are not content with their “good intentions” and are serious about sustainable change.
